I have a Waterman Phileas and can't remember if I bought it years ago or if it was a gift.
So, while driving back from Disney World I searched for pen places on the way back and found Edwards of San Marco in Jacksonville, FL.
They were extremely friendly and helpful and I'm so glad that I found that shop. The end piece on my Waterman ended up falling off and I can't find it. They gave me advice for contacting them for a warranty repair.
I also purchased an Acme pen, Quote, with the fountain pen converter and a bottle of Midnight Blue Private Reserve Ink.

So how do you like the Acme pen? They have some interesting designs. How does it compare to the Phileas? I bought my first fountain pen, an Aurora Style, last month.

It is heavier than the Phileas but seems to write similarly. Loading the ink was exactly the same so there was no difference from that perspective.
I guess the thing I like about the Acme is that I could decide to use a roller ball instead and I have the piece to convert it back to that use. The design is very cool and I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted when I saw all the choices in the case.
How do you like the Aurora?
That is a nice looking pen. I like the design!

Thanks! I thought it was really interesting and it won't get accidently borrowed looking so distinctive.

I like the Aurora (http://www.amazon.com/Aurora-Style-Paprika-Resin-Fountain/dp/B002FWS4XG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295143868&sr=8-1). I was all set to order a Phileas, when my daughter's friend brought over his Aurora for me to try. I liked the way it wrote so I ordered one. The Fine nib is close to the 0.7 gel pen I had been using. My wife and I were both surprised how smooth it was. I'm still considering getting a Phileas at some point while they are still available.

And thus does one get on the Primrose Path of Fountain Pen Acquisition Disorder.
Mine have been Chinese Pens, starting with Hero 616, you know the one Parker cloned with their "51" and then going to JinHao. I love the weight and balance in the Jinhao X450. And those Ebay lots are too enticing...
