Does anyone have a pic of this razor stand by Edwin Jagger with the razor on it.
I'm trying to visualize it.

I've only seen it with a mach3 razor sitting in it. https://www.bmvintageshaving.com/sunshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=102
Price is... uh, a little completely insane. :eek2:

Looks as if these stands are for cartridge razors.
Now for the price.
Just drop the word, "little".
At $80+ dollars that is "completely insane"!
Thanks for the link.

Your better bet would be to get (and much cheaper), a Muehle Chrome Brush & Razor Holder.
http://www.amazon.com/Muehle-Chrome-Brush-Razor-Holder/dp/B0006O4NSU
I have a Muehle Chrome Brush & Razor Holder (thats sits on the wash basin), and it holds either of my Merkur's (23C or 38C), and either of my restored Ever-Ready 150 Silvertip or Ever-Ready 250PB Pure Badger or Ever-Ready 200T Finest Badger Brushs....so I would give the Muehle a 1st Class Rating.
However, if you like reasonably priced Acrylic Razor & Brush Stands (I have one for my other razor & brushes for my Den),...then Shane Silcox the owner of Cutting Edge Razors (and a B & B member), is your man. He also can custom make you a stand (multiple razor / brushes), in any knot size / razor you wish. He made my a 1 razor - 2 Brush stand in 'smoke' color with engraving ("A Great Lather is Half the Shave"), for about $24US with shipping :lol1:

+ 1 plus this stand is even 'cooler' and chaeper than my Muehle Chrome Brush & Razor Holder.
Who can I order the Omega from?

Oh some of his multiple holders look really well priced. I might get some from him for the "collection"

The superiorshave.com has the Omega stand also - and it comes with free shipping.
Unfortunately, my Mergress won't fit in it. :mad3:

Where did you buy these stands? I want them!

I got mine from the english shaving company (http://www.theenglishshavingcompany.com/cgi-bin/psProdDet.cgi/RHM3===Small||@cRazor%20stands@b|0|user||9|)
I saw some great Cyril Salter stands lately - I'll dig out the URL when I get home - which appear to be made by the same people who make Muhle's.

This stand is very cool. Simple setup. Does anyone know if this will fit the Simpson Colonel X2L BBB and Merkur HD 34C? If so, I plan to buy from Phil today. Thanks!

The Merkur will fit but I'm not too sure about the Simpson cause I don't know how big it is. Perhaps someone has the answer to this?

The Colonel knot diameter is 22mm.
The stand dimensions are:
Opening: 25mm
Internal Diameter: 27mm
Looks like it'll fit, I went ahead and ordered it anyway from WCS.

Do you think it will fit my Merkur's 23C & 38C? :confused1

Christopher, I was just reading about that Omega stand over at The Superior Shave (http://www.thesuperiorshave.com/RazorStands.html) (scroll about halfway down). Jarrod says that it will fit the 23C but not the 38C.
The opening for the razor's stem is ~15mm. It's a great fit for the Muhle R89/R106, the Merkur 11C/34C/37C 'Heavy Duty' models, the classic Merkur 11C/23C/25C/33C razors, and especially the Merkur Futur. Merkur's 12C, 38C/38M/38011/38031/38141, 39C, 40031/40141, 43C, 44011, Progress, and Vision models do NOT work.

And if you need specific questions answered, just ask Jarrod. He is without a doubt one of the promptest individuals to answer. His service is excellent.:thumbup1:

If someone could come up with some sort of a list of the cross sectional dimensions of the handles of the more popular razors, it would be great.

I was just thinking about this the other day. The wiki has lengths and weights for a lot of razors, but no stats on handle thickness AFAIK.
Updated the wiki with my "data" on the 23c, but I just have the one. Maybe you should create a thread. :001_smile
