The old one just popped right out? That's awesome.
Which knot did you get from Larry? I've tried his Best and his Silvertip. Best is nice, but the silvertip is excellent!

Looks like a best to me, 22mm if i'm seeing it right
Nice work

I personally prefer the super to the silvertip, more backbone and just as soft IMO :thumbup1:

Are you talking the knots from Larry or TGN? Because the Silvertip from Larry I'd put pretty close to on par with my Super Silvertip TGN.

Larry; direct comparison, although my super is a 20mm. It seems to hold more water and soap than the silvertip, I can't tell much difference in the density either.
i also just procured a 22mm black badger knot from him for my VDH handle

I only handled a super knot from Larry while installing it in a neato brush handle for him. Felt like it'd be great, nice and soft but decent back bone, like you said. Never got it wet tho.
The Silvertip certainly has better backbone and retention than the best does, but both are still loaded with lather when I finish 4 passes so good enough for me. :)
