View Full Version : Dropped my Tabac!

I was holding the ceramic bowl while lathering, trying to scoop up some of the lather that overflowed onto the sides, when it just slid right out of my fingers... hit the porcelain sink (with a LOUD cracking sound)... and bounced off and crashed onto the floor just as hard as it could.
Result: a somewhat incomplete chip on the rim - it's shaped like a chip that should have flown off, but stayed intact. I guess that ceramic is pretty tough, but I've learned my lesson: leave the bowl on the sink while lathering, and if any of the rich, copious lather oozes over onto the sides, just let it go, man!!!
Oh yeah, the shave was great (with the Tabac) as usual.
Yikes!
Just think how embarrasing it would be to have to explain a broken toe caused by your shave soap.

I know what you mean... Tabac is so slick, I've almost dropped mine more than once wiping the excess lather off the rim.
And that heavy ceramic bowl probably would break a toe.:w00t:

If any of the rich, copius lather oozes over onto the sides, just let it go!!!!
Are you nuts..... Plasphemy runs amuck!!!
Gently, Veeerrrrryyyy gently scoop it back into the porcelain bowl from which it came. Never, Never I say, let it go.
I think I have a headache...
And as always...
Enjoy your shave...

Gravity is not your friend.
HTH.

There you go picking on gravity again. All gravity wanted to do was move the tub of Tabac. It's that nasty electromagnetic force, 10^36 times more powerful than gravity, holding together the atoms in the floor that chipped your container that's the bully here.

Thanks for the warning. I've been eyeing the Tabac soap for quite a while... I will be sure to wear protective footwear when I use it!

 Plasphemy runs amuck!!!
I hate when plasphemy runs amok... but it's still better than having blasphemy run amok. :001_tt2:
On a different tack ....If you reduce the amount of water in your brush you will have a lot more soap loaded into your brush and alot less volume of suds to deal with.
If you are a face latherer just wet your face and go at it, if you use a bowl add a teaspoon of water and whip it up.
Give it a try!
