Hi guys.
I've ended up in a situation that I'm not sure how to handle best and wanted to see what you advice. As I'm after advice on how to best solve this issue I would prefer that this thread doesn't turn into a complaint thread regarding this vendor.
As most of you know, Ray at Gentlemen's Best had medical issues that got him into trouble. I had a straight that had been out for honing since September and he told me early December that he had shipped it back to me. I never saw it though and was accepting the fact that I would never see it again. I just got back from a conference tonight and just found a package waiting for me from GB. It had been held by the post office and forwarded to my new address with a bit more than a month's delay (thanks USPS).
I was very happy and opened the package only to find that it wasn't my straight that he had sent back to me but someone else's.
Now, I have no idea who's razor this is and I'm guessing that the only certain way would be to try to get the info from Ray. I would guess that he is in a situation where this really wouldn't be a priority and I'm not even sure that I would be able to get the info from him.
What would you advice? Try to track down the info from Ray and send the razor to its owner or just be happy that I at least got one razor back from him even though it wasn't the right one? I would feel better if I could find the owner of it but I'm not sure if that will work ... might be worth a try though.
