I'd like a soap with a clear cooling effect. I already have proraso cream, but I'm a soap guy, and would like the cooling effect from a soap.

Oh, and the more cooling the better :thumbup1: Please share your experiences :001_smile

Queen Charlotte Soap's Vostock

+1 here

QCS makes a soft soap (is it technically a dense cream? who knows? who cares?). Vostok is extremely cooling. Cream or soap, i treat is like a soap. Load the brush for 10 seconds or so (loads easily due to softness), and lather.

There's nothing colder than Vostok, and there aren't many soaps better than mretzlof's work!

My only complaint about QCS is that the Key Lime soap makes me hungry :thumbup1:

QCS Soaps are outstanding! Got a sampler pack like everyone says Vostok is COOOLLDDDD. The rest of the scents are great and the lather is incredible. Great price too!

I have Mama Bear's Awakenings and it is very cooling. If you want the next level or two higher get the Vostok!!:w00t:

If you don't have Key Lime Pie nearby, and have that perfect Key Lime smell right next to your nose, it's almost frustrating!

But then you get a great shave and all is forgiven.

The ladies at My Time Bath & Body know how to mentholate thier product! you can also request it on a scale of 1-10, not to mention they didn't charge me for the custom product.

I would recommend any of the metholated Mama Bear's. I just had the opportunity to test Lemon Ice. It is quite cooling. I love it! Awakenings paired with Aqua Velve Ice Blue AS is a wonderful summer combination!

If Vostock is as good as all QCS, I would not hesitate if I were you.

Mama Bear makes an excellent Rose Ice, and an incredible Grapefruit Ice.
I have not tried Awakenings, but that one has quite a reputation also.

Prairie Creations also got some Beyond The Arctic.

I forgot to mention Rose Ice. The scent of Rose Ice is one of my favorite Mama Bear's.

Add about a teaspoon of twice distilled peppermint oil to any soap (melt it in the microwave and stir; cool obviously before using) and it'll cool your face like a glacial stream.

David, while I strongly support your hint for this fabulous soap, I have to disagree on its cooling effect because there actually isn't any. The only Italian soap that is super refreshing is Proraso.

I must agree.

It is Sue's excellent Roses, with that menthol kick.
Great soap.

I've not been fortunate enough to get my hands on QCS but SCS Blue Line Menthol SS is chilly. Most menthol I have ever encountered in a soap.

+1 SCS Blue Line Soap is quite chilly. I just got a sampler of QCS soaps on Saturday with Vostok included, so I'll be experimenting to see which is colder. I can already tell you from the QCS Vetiver sample I tried that IMHO QCS lathers a little bit better. A bit more effort is required, but a better end lather. And it's saying something to be better than SCS.

Mentioned once already in this thread but My Time Bath and Body can be special ordered to your desired degree of coldness.
