Hello Everyone,
I was putting together a 1960 fat boy after disassembly and cleaning and somehow broke the red spring in 2 places. Are replacement springs available from any source other than from broken fat boys sold for parts? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking!

You could try a spring from a less expensive adjustable.
Or, you could pick up where I left off.
I started with a stahly live blade spring and cut a strip off. My first attempt worked to stop it at 1 and 9, but no clicks in between, the dial still moved freely.
I drew a clumsy pic of another design. Have at it.

Thanks for the response. And thanks for the diagram. I will "have at it" sometime this weekend. Thanks so much for the information.
Regards.
