Gentlemen, Shavistos, Citizens -

The first wet shave of my career was wondrous. Simple. Clean. The styptic pen? Stayed in the plastic sheath. And while I can't truly qualify this first attempt as BBS-quality, it is definitely close, and ver-ry smoo-ooth, indeed.

No pain, no atomic blast from my Clubman Pinaud AS, just a joyous, patient way to wake up. I thank you all for your advice and good cheer so I could have a morning like this - my only day off this week.

And while my technique still needs fine-tuning obviously, I think I can see where what I'm doing is where I can improve the gear, and where I can improve my angle.

Loving this - the hounds have been released, and the fox is on the run!

p.s. Most special thanks to Geofatboy for his great video series - I didn't have a dad around growing up, and watching his videos, especially when he says, "if you have a great shave, you'll have a great day!" is exactly the kind of thing I wish my Dad could have said to me when I needed to learn how to shave the first time (my brother's girlfriend taught me of all people...)
