Hello!

I am new to Badger & Blade, and first of all i have to apologise for my poor English.
It is because english is not my native Language, i am german.
I use the following: Merkur 34c razor, red personna and Super Platinum Blades, Shaving Creams and Aftershaves of Taylor of old Bond Street.
Now i have read here interesting Reviews about the Saint Charles Shave products.
I checked the Shop of Sue Moore, but unfortunately they donīt sell their products outside the US. I did find a Shop in the UK, but they are only selling Shaving Creams, and i am interested in Aftershave Splashes.
Does anyone have a Link to a Shop, that ships to Germany?

Perhaps you could make a swap offer to another member after you've been here a bit.
I've seen it done between folks who have difficulty finding items in their home countries.
Till then, browse around, post a bit and get to know folks, and enjoy the banter here.
Welcome.

Thank you, Phil.
Maybe one of the members would buy for me and send it to Germany.
I donīt know how difficult it is to ship from the US to Germany.
Does a private seller have to deal with custom documents for the shipment?
I would appreciate that very much, if someone would do that for me. Of course
i would pay all costs in advance, using paypal.
By the way, in the Review section i found some Aftershaves that are not shown on the SCS Website. Are they no longer available?

Welcome to B&B!

I think SCS does change their product line from time to time. As for EU access... aftershaves can be tricky to ship. Good luck, though.

Once you have reached Badger and Blade's minimum requirements for trading and selling I'm sure there are members that would like to trade you SCS products for some of your great German products.

Welcome to the B&B!

Welcome! Your english is fine, most of us only speak one language  It looks as though international shipping wouldn't be possible through USPS http://pe.usps.com/text/pub52/pub52c6_002.htm
SCS balms are wonderful too, and I BELIEVE they would not be a problem to ship. Ask Wendy @ SCS she's very helpful. Might I suggest you try some of the excellent splashes available locally like Speick?

Well, i donīt like Balms very much, i am more into Splashes.
Yes, maybe shipping is the problem, because of the Alcohol.
Maybe because it is flammable?
Speick? Good product, but i would like to try SCS Splashes.
If it is not possible, i have to live with that.

Yep, alcohol = flammable = hazardous. It LOOKS as though UPS will ship AS to Germany.......

This post is ironic. This gentleman, living in Germany wants to buy some made in the USA splashes. Many of our members, live in the USA, and hunger for some of the fine German and European shave products that are either unavailable in the USA, or otherwise extremely expensive. That said, you will find that our members are generally very gracious and helpful, and I am sure someone will help you out. The one thing that is going to hurt is the shipping. Unfortunately, I don't see anyway around it. Good luck to you, and welcome to B&B.

Yes, the alcohol is the problem. To see some of the previous discussion around this issue, take a look at http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=62761 and http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=113857

This issue can be a little contentious, since individuals tend to get away with ignoring the rules, but a company like SCS can't risk it.

Well, i can offer to send german Products to the US. I am not sure if custom documents are needed or not.
But i am not aware of the shipping costs right now. That might make the whole thing expensive.

EDIT:
Please note that you must be a member 45 days and have minimum 50 posts to conduct a trade.

Welcome to B&B.

I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to find somebody to trade with you. However, you haven't been here long enough or had enough post to try to organize a trade now. Also, there's a special form for sales and trades. Take a look at the rules, hang around for a while, make some posts and make some friends. Have fun!

It looks like it is possible to try SCS Splashes in near Future.
I am in contact with Wendy of SCS, she told me that Ground Shipping outside the US is possible.

Very happy to hear that my friend. I hope you do get a chance to get it over there.
You have to try the shaving soap she makes - superb in every way.

Excellent. These are very nice splashes. I'm particularly fond of the "milks." Not thick like a balm, but not full of alcohol like a splash. You might want to consider getting a sample of one of the milks once you get around to making your order.

Today Wendy wrote the following by Mail:

Hello Axel,

I am unaware of any co that ships ground service out of the states. I do not know if it is possible.

Does anyone have information about Ground shipping US to Germany/Euope?

My understanding--and I could be wrong on this--is that a vendor would have to apply for a special certification in order to ship hazardous materials overseas (which include flammable liquids) so that they could certify each product's flashpoint and guarantee secure packaging. This person becomes the "ERI Provider" which must be listed on each package. I don't know how long the approval process is, or how much the accompanying course (usually a seminar) costs.

US mail won't do it. UPS will but for a small business it's very expensive. Fedex lists it's international fee for flammable liquids at $70, and of course that's after you get your super-duper ERI provider badge.

There are some loopholes around this---usually by declaring a package as a "gift"--but if a vendor gets caught not declaring a hazardous material there are some pretty harsh penalties.

Again, if I'm wrong on this please correct me.

Ihr Englisch ist gut. Machen Sie sich keine Sorgen :001_smile

As far as I understand it, it is illegal to send alcohol-containing products using the USPS, unless you are doing so domestically.
