I am an ex-pipe smoker. Actually I quite smoking everything, cigars, cigarettes.... So what I am doing reading articles like this? Good question, perhaps living vicariously through others.
My pride and joy was a lovely Petersons pipe which has disappeared. I think swmbo may have tossed it and all my smoking paraphernalia into the trash. Anyway, I have not drawn smoke in anger is some 28 years. Sometimes I think I'd love to have a nice pipe full but I'm afraid I'd be back to being a serious smoker in no time.

Anyway, it is good to know that there are still a group who carry on the tradition, I wish I could be one but I'll just have to be one at heart:001_rolle
