Scratches on a Gold Slant - normal?

Just picked up a 37g but has some light scratches on the top head. Is this normal for a new one of these? For some reason, I feel like if I'm paying $55 for a new razor, it should appear mint.

I did not have that problem with my gold slant. Damn fine shave as well. Can you post any pics?
