I got home from work yesterday just in time to see the police block off my road for Stage 2 of the Tour of Virginia 2007 (http://www.tourofvirginia.com/). So I went in, changed, and grabbed the XT.
Aside from some very brief experimentation, I just put the camera in Running Man mode and clicked away. Aside from cropping, no images have had any kind of post processing done to them.

After 4 or so laps, I started to move around the course for a change of scenery. Here are two from the end of the hill climb. I've biked this hill before and it isn't fun. I can't imagine climbing it almost 30 times in 50 minutes.

It's difficult to get a decent crop without ending up with an odd body part creeping into the image.:(
After the first two laps, I put the camera in Shutter Priority mode and set the ISO to 800. Results were not what I expected at all so I put it back. When I got back home and looked at them, I actually like what came out in a water color, artsy-fartsy kind of way. Uncropped original:
