I have a couple of straights that deserve a home where they will see more use. 1st I have a nice vintage worked back Soli with a pearl inlay on the handle. Most of the gold leaf on the blade is gone, but some can still be seen. Professionally honed & shave ready. Asking $50 shipped SOLD

Is this razor suitable for a newbie? What does 6/8 mean? What is G13? Happy New Year!

6/8 is the size of the blade. large enough to have some weight but yet still nimble enough for manueverability. The G13 is the type of material the scales have been made from. Wapencia has been recommended many times as a good tool to learn with. If you'd like this one I'd throw in a beginner strop to help get you started as well.
