TwinLuxe Instant Rescue Gel - This remedy's blend acts as a powerful weapon to help fight irritation from nicks and cuts, while calming and relieving redness. Soothing botanicals immediately cool irritated skin, providing instant relief - for any shaving and skincare emergencies, including rashes and bug bites.
For all skin types.
Financial Times writer wrote: "Finally, I apply a dab of TwinLuxe Rescue Gel to whatever nicks or cuts there are - and there have been fewer [in reference to using TwinLuxe 'Shaving Skincare' products] - which are then bizarrely healed."

It should be good at $544 per pint.

This is a borderline snarky post yet it will stand as it does have value in generating a question the vendor might wish to respond to.
A better way to phrase this post to promote discussion rather than defensive rebuttal would be something like:
"Could you help us understand why this product is X times more expensive than Brand Y's aftershave balm?"
Also be open to the possibility that top shelf ingredients do raise the cost of product as this post (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showpost.php?p=2676053&postcount=14) and this post (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showpost.php?p=2677512&postcount=24) by Joel illustrate.

Why does a Picasso or Monet cost millions of dollars? It only costs $40 bucks to buy the paint, brush, and canvas... Why does a skincare product such as Zirh Platinum repair serum cost $145? And why does a generic face moisturizer at your drug store only cost $2?
The overall cost for any TwinLuxe product, whether our $34 Instant Rescue Gel (http://www.twinluxe.com/shop/care/gel/index.php) or our $1588 Arctic Edition shave set (http://www.twinluxe.com/shop/shave/instruments/arctic/index.php), is very high. Factor in the ingredients we use, development costs, packaging design, and packaging itself, and it equates to a very significant amount. We didn't skimp out on any part of our product - the inside and outside all match our luxury branding.
The high quality airless bottles, such as that used for our Instant Rescue Gel, that we use cost many more times than a cheap tube. Even our heavy walled jar for our Smooth Shave Cream costs a lot more than the cheap thin plastic jars other manufacturers use.
Our formulations are all unique and you won't find anything else on the market like our 'Shaving Skincare' line. Our Instant Rescue Gel has the consistency of a translucent sticky green gel and is what we consider a gel version of a stypic pen. A bottle will last you half a year, a year, or even 2 years - depending on how often you cut yourself shaving or how often you get razor burn or razor bumps. If you use the TwinLuxe 'Shaving Skincare' set, the Instant Rescue Gel will probably last you 3 years :P because you'll notice you'll have less cuts, razor burn, etc., if any at all. We made our Instant Rescue Gel for those who non-TwinLuxe products :), and it actually works as described, as raved by the Financial Times writer who reviewed our entire 'Shaving Skincare' line.
I highly recommend reading his review: http://www.twinluxe.com/images/db/article_pdf/Financial-Times-2010-12-04.pdf
There are other factors that come into play with why products are priced at their respective price points. Try any TwinLuxe product and you'll see that they will be the best products you'll ever use IMO. Performance is everything.

Quite a remarkable selection! Do you guys have any plans to produce a DE razor?

There are higher things on our list that we need to bring out first, but it's always a possibility.
Even if we do produce our own proprietary designed DE razor though, I still think B&B readers will say "Why does your DE razor cost so much?" :) And I mean this in a kind way, so I hope B&B readers do not take any offense to my comment.

I noticed that you have referenced a review by a Financial Times writer in a couple of places. I was curious as to whether any B&B members took you up on your recent skincare samples offer and wrote a review in response? The guys around here certainly do know their shaving products and I would be curious as to whether any of the regulars were, in fact, praising TwinLuxe as the Picasso of pre-shave. If there were any reviews, I have overlooked them.

Yes there are some B&B members who purchased skincare samples as well as full bottles of our 'Shaving Skincare'. Whether or not they will post anything is out of our control. Since we're fairly new here, we're not familiar with people's names so we don't know if they are lurkers here who don't post but only read or if they are active participants. I'm assuming they are happy with their purchases because I'm pretty sure if any B&B reader didn't like our products, he would most likely post his negative experience here since B&B readers were pretty tough on us as a new vendor when we first joined B&B due to our higher price points.
Since we are very confident in the efficacy of our skincare line, we threw ourselves into the wolf pack and gave out 2 of Soothing Face Balm http://www.twinluxe.com/shop/care/balm/index.php for review to B&B readers. The reviewers had the opportunity to write whatever they thought of the balm - good or bad. Both reviewers posted awesome comments on our balm and posted in the Reviews archive here: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?ltr=T&t=174636
We also gave 1 Smooth Shave Cream http://www.twinluxe.com/shop/care/cream/index.php away for review and this wetshaver wasn't accustomed to our brushless shave cream but gave it a positive review nevertheless. He didn't post it in the Reviews archive but it's somewhere in the Shave Cream forum.
Also, if you check the Press archive section http://www.twinluxe.com/about/press/archive/ on our website, you'll see many popular skincare and shaving blogs giving us positive reviews of our 'Shaving Skincare'.

No offense taken. Since most of the DE shavers here don't have problems with razor burn or irritation, I just thought that might be a product would be of interest to the readers here.

Btw, here's a picture of the TwinLuxe Instant Rescue Gel - a must have for razor burn, bumps, & nicks. **One of our best selling products!** Gooey in texture like rubber cement, this green gel will help stop bleeding & fight irritation while calming & relieving redness.

On the other hand, there are quite a few B&Bers that have bought and shave with the Vision, one of the most expensive out there. Now we have the Feather Stainless Steel razor, and people have bought and use that.
So far from what i've seen, if you come out with DE razor, as long as its around the same price or cheaper than the new Feather razor (and it shaves the same or better) people will buy it.
