Sabini finest prototype. It has a very white handle, much whiter than most faux ivory handles, and quite dark band of hair with cream colored tips. On cursory inspection, the brush seems to have a very dense knot and typical finest hair being course at the base with relatively soft tips. It'll be getting a good workout in the next day or so.

Man this thing was so small when I took it out of the box, but it looks soo nice! Can't wait to try this out, should be a nice upgrade from the $35 starter kit AOS brush.

I hit up some antique stores today. If anyone has ever seen the movie "Doc Hollywood" with Michael J. Fox, that little town is where I went. It is called Micanopy, and is about 10 miles south of Gainesville, FL. It is pretty much all antique stores on both sides of the street. I hit 4 stores, and there wasn't a lot of shaving goodies, but I did alright.

http://www.badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=6983

Anyway, here is what I got, clockwise from top:
-Two 1966 cartridges of injector blades, in the boxes. One of them is in the box containing a...
-1935 Schick Injector, in the original box, with papers.:thumbup1:
-Superspeed, date code D4. It's my first SS. I cleaned it, and will use it tomorrow.
-Gillette Tech, in a Star travel case.
-A vintage Record Razor travel razor kit, with 3 blades in the original box. It has to be post-WWII, because it was made in W. Germany.

Grand total for all these goodies: $41.

Also, I found this toothbrush holder at Wal-Mart, and it makes a fine razor holder.

I just SLANTED my PayPal account slightly to (re) purchase a Merkur Slant. The previous Slant I purchased never touched my face. I'm giving Merkurs in general a second chance at my rotation that had previously been chocked full of English Made Gillettes. If all goes well with them I could unload all of my "Rockets" and purchase a Plisson that I crave.

I have several Merkurs, and gillettes. The slant blows them all out of the water. Ive been using it for six months, while the others collect dust. It gives me a bbs shave every day without the slightest irritation. It ended my RAD for good. David V

Charles must be some mysterious cloud of energy or something...the shipping is so fast it defies logic. I really love both of these items, although I've only used them once.

And what everyone says about Charles's packaging is dead on...I do believe these could have survived world war III intact. I had no idea things could be wrapped so securely.

Yea, I think it is supposed to be a TV but it has a Z4 code. I don't think it has ever been confirmed if the correct code was Z3 or Z4 or possibly if it was Z3 with some production going into the 4th Quarter.

Yesterday, my order from drugstore.com arrived.

1 tube KMF Patchouli
1 pump bottle KMF Patchouli (can you tell I like this stuff)
1 pump bottle KMF unscented (for future EO experiments)
2 tubes Toms of Maine Mint (the BEST, and on sale)

And, today over lunch I hit a TJ Maxx and got lucky finding another tub of C&E sweet almond oil. OK, I now have 5 of these. Might be seeing some of these on the trading forum soon.

Agree totally!

Just received three bottles of Charles' ASC - Lavender, Patchouli/Tea Tree/Peppermint and Texas Cedarwood.

These are even better than the unscented, especially the Patchouli (very mild scent).

For some reason Charles ASC has largely been panned - I've not tried Mama Bears (on the list), but these are very good for the price ($10 for 4 ounces). I think its because there were a couple of mediocre reviews when the product first came out, but if you're looking for a new AS balm product, you should consider throwing a bottle into your QED order. They're also great for post-shower moisturizing any time of the day.

Nice New Standard in gold scored off the World's Largest Auction Site (for an unusually low priced Buy It Now). Closest thing to a mint Gillette in my meager collection.

Saturday, shortly after noon-time, at the "Goodwill" Thrift Shop... the bowl (not the brush). Tarnished? Hell, it was black as the ace of spades! But a little wad of Nevr-Dull and about ten-minutes-worth of "elbow grease", and this baby was shining! Did I mention that I paid all of 49-cents for it? and that it's Sterling silver?
