Had a Man of War Ruination cigar with a bit of Arbeg 10 earlier tonight.
I like that cigar. One of the better of my c-bid acquisitions.
Drew estate, tabak especial Belicoso Dulce. It was smooth, sublime, and I was disappointed when it was finished.
Is the tabak a flavored cigar?

Yes, Sir. It is mildly coffee flavored, but not overwhelming. A good balance, I think.

It was me first time trying the cigar and I would purchase it again, if the price is right.

That makes me home sick for my east coast origins, I wish you had a picture. Coincidentally, I just finished The Snows of Kilimanjaro. If you smoked that cigar while contemplating the simplicity of being a man and dealing with the complexities of a woman, then indeed it must have been a Hemingway moment.

Pinar Del Rio Habano Sun Grown. Had some sitting in the humi and decided one would come out tonight while grilling. By far my favorite sun grown wrapper to date. Small bit of pepper in the first 1/3 then a nice wood flavor the rest of the way through.

Well after the car was misfiring and had me worried on the way home, I broke out a CAO La Traviata Robusto to help me with the car maintainance. A great smoke to go with car work, which I hate. Luckily just a loose injector wire causing the misfire, so I fixed it quick and got to enjoy the last 15 minutes of smoke sitting down.

I recently enjoyed a San Cristobal Elegancia, a lovely connecticut-wrapped mild-medium smoke. I don't smoke a lot of connecticut-wrapped cigars, but this one has made me reconsider that a bit. It was unremarkable, but very nice, maintaining sort of a creamy nuttiness throughout, with some light wood notes dropping in now and then.

Well today was the 5 Vegas Cask Strength. This is a really smooth cigar! Enough pepper to keep you on your toes but smokes very nice. It is a box pressed but didn't seem as "Square" as some I have had before so wasn't as unusual feeling. Very nice for an morning smoke.

'Kay. I slipped, or indulged, and had two today.
The first was one of the Twelve Angrier Men, the San Miguel Toro. The first quarter was stupid hot! Peppery to the point that blowing it out the nose made it feel like you just ate some very, very, very spicy Mex... or got pepper sprayed. Made the eyes water and the sinuses run. Strangely tho' for me enjoyable. Smoothed out while being very full body in the rest. Enjoyed it witha snifter of JB Black and a Killians.
The second was a Partagas. I gave the wife a $20 and asked her to pick me up a couple sticks. She came home with 2 COA La Traviatas, 2 Oliva series Os, a Partagas 1845, and a RyJ Reserva Real. The Partagas was a little light for me, but went well with some very spicy Pozole and a Vodka Tonic at a friends for dinner.

Not for nothin', but I now have 2 Henry Clay vitolas resting in my humidor because of your continual endorsement of them as a regular smoke. 1 each Brevas and Brevas ala Conserva arrived last week in conjunction with another order that I had placed. I just gotta' say, these must be the ugliest sticks in my collection, but their deep barnyard aroma is very promising!

I find them to be a reliable and full smoke. The EMS/madouro wrappers tend to be on the tough side and hold up well to wandering around and BBQing.
I hope you enjoy them.

I really dig the diesel line, a certified bargain of a cigar in my book.
Love the diesel, can't smoke too many because they burn out my taste buds. One of the best bargains around.
Today I was smoking another A.J. product the San Lotano Habano in a 60g...great flavor. Also had a Gurkha Shaggy Salamon..a little light for my pallet but it has like 8 years aging on it and I have a ton to smoke through. Also had a Gurkha Art Deco - a friend handed it to me, I don't drop that kinda money on sticks...The first inch all you can taste is the Louis XIII Cognac, and the rest is well aged Cuban. Finished up my evening with a J. Fuego Grand Reserve Original...Nice little stick great full flavor and also a heck of a nice price for the little bindle of 5, but like the diesel burns out taste buds so I only smoke it last.

Whoo hoo, Friday!!! for me...
An Oliva Series O Toro, 2 JB Blacks, and 2 Killians. The last hour and a half has been spent relaxing on the front porch in 70* weather with a slight breeze. The Oliva O is a good cigar and one I have had before, beautiful balance of pepper, spice, and leathers. Burned excellent for the first two thirds, a little off balanced for the last, but torch touch ups have fixed that. Now down to the last inch or so and nursing it ever so slowly. Might have to try the toothpick I see mentioned so often...

Had an Atabey from a humitube today, a good stick but not worth the price of admission...but the tube is very very cool and reusable so not a total loss.
Also pulled a Kristoff Corojo Limitada that Glenn Case gave me a few months ago out of the humidor, having had one then and now...WOW the aging really came through and smoothed out some of the rougher Nicaraguan notes.
Also had a La Palina Family Series Alison, for being a ligero it really wasnt full bodied enough for me, but it was exceptionally smooth and creamy but lacked much else.

Well its my hump day, sooo....
The weather had to snap and go from balmy low to mid 60s to a crisp 48. I know not that bad, unless you are cold blooded like us desert folks. So I am sitting in the living room, with a fan in the window to suck the smoke out, enjoying another of the Twelve Angrier men. The La Gloria Cuban Artesanos Retro Especiale Habanero(Toro), which I am enjoying as if it was my last, because if the wife finds out I smoked it in the house may result in my untimely demise! And there are alot of sandy washs out here....with coyotes... and vultures...
A very nice cigar. Pepperier than I expected by it conneticut wrapper. Similar to the CAO La Traviata, lots of spice and leather but with a light sweet underlying creaminess to it. Thats the first half, can't wait to see how it finishes!

Whoo hoo! Made it to friday!
Well I spent the morning running around paying bills, and hitting some antiques stores. No razors but I did happen to end up at my local Tobacconist so I came away with a little haul. I got 3 CAO La Traviata Toros, 3 Macanudo Cru Royale Toros, 3 Oliva O Toros, 2 Macanudo 1968 Robustos, and 2 Don Deigo Fuerte Robustos.
I am having one of the CAO La Traviatas with a single shot of JD and a Newcastle Founders English Pale Ale. The ale is a new one I have not seen before but is very buttery and smooth, reminiscent of Bass with just a touch more maltyness. Kind of sweet and compliments the peppers of the La Traviata well. A nice way to unwind.

It is the same as the Gran Habano Corojo. And it isn't a bad stick at all. I like the Vintage and the Fuerte. You can pick up a bundle of them from CI for $40. Sorry it took me a little long to respond to this. I got the punch from Overstock.com. I picked it up for around $38, shipped, with a discount code that they sent me via their email list. I really like mine & would highly recommend it! I haven't used a punch much in the past, but the 3 sizes on this one will fit the bill for just about any cigar & I now use the punch more than my other cutters, at least for the time being.
Looks like they are out of stock now, but you can set an email notification for when they are available again.

Well, I tried my "Cohiba" that a friend gave me. We all knew it was fake but I had hopes maybe It would still be a decent smoke...
T'was not to be. It had that sort of green hay/barnyard taste with a hint of pepper, and maybe even diesel fuel. Reminded me vaguely of those No49 Throwouts I had last summer with a slightly pepperier taste, and diesel. I tried really hard, I puffed on it for about an inch and couldn't take anymore. I am going to open it up to see what its construction is just for fun.
And when my friend asks it will have been one of the best smokes I have ever had! But... "No really, don't put yourself out to get me more:scared:..."
Now, to cleanse the palette, a Don Tomas Sungrown.

I enjoyed a Montecristo Serie C Toro this evening

This was a wonderful mild cigar with a sweet, creamy, floral foundation and notes of sweet spices, butter and cocoa. It reminded me a lot of the cavendish blends I enjoy in my pipe.

Finally tried a Diesel Unholy cocktail while setting up camp on a roadtrip last Tuesday night. I must admit, I had high hopes for this one and was a little disappointed. I have another one I'll let age for a few months and see if it improves.

I have had the same results with the Diesel's. I humi mine for atleast 3 months and then they start to shine.
