I'm in my first full year of a combined degree BA/MA program at my university. To translate that, I began taking graduate classes as a junior which counted for both graduate and undergrad credits. After taking 4 graduate classes, I graduated in May. This semester, I've been taking four political science classes- talk about a rough semester. Just got all my finals- 3 take-home exams (which I DESPISE) and a research paper. I have 2 weeks to write 45 pages of research.

I'm not looking forward to the next two weeks, but have complete confidence in my ability to get all of this done after enduring this semester. It might cut down on my B&B browsing a bit, but I'm going to get it done!

Any tips on staying sane while I do this, though?

Literally force yourself away from studying to take a break every few hours.
And no tv, no ipod, no email - just take a step back.
Get up, walk around your house, or put on that winter coat and take a short walk outside.
Your brain desperately needs these moments of rest. It's essentially like a giant CPU, you just can't push it to the limit nonstop for days on end.

Take it from a current student who has 3 vet students in the family, start right now! Seems simple but if you can finish sooner your sanity with thank you. I'm in fact not practicing what I preach as I paused my studying for finals to post this :)

Physical exercise once or twice a day is an excellent release as well.

My problem this semester has been STAYING focused on the work. However, with all this work to do, I don't think I'll have any time to be unfocused.

I'm starting today, no worries! Not everything is due before the 18th actually, but I'm flying home on the 15th, so everything for me needs to be done on the 14th or earlier.

I've been walking back and forth to campus (10-15 minutes each way) a couple of times a day, and even that little bit of exercise helps my brain and has actually caused me to lose a lot of weight in the past couple of weeks...except for Thanksgiving week, of course.
