Antique store finds

Was visiting the inlaws last week and had time to hit up some antique stores. Found the following 5 razors in my travels:
Veribest by Hoffman Co.
Frameback by Johann Engstrom
2 pipe razors
& a Wade & Butcher wedge with no scales.
I plan on sanding them up and then learning to hone on them after Christmas. Let me know if any look unfixable.

Below is the Wade & Butcher wedge. I found this without scales. There's a small amount of rust and pitting but for $2 I figured it was worth it.

Next up is the first pipe razor. This one is a near wedge. The scales are cracking and falling apart but there's not much on the blade except some staining.

The second pipe razor is up next. This has "Original Pipe Razor: Medium Hollow Ground" etched on the scales. Not a whole lot of rust or pitting on her either.

Now for the frameback. The blade is about a sixteenth of an inch longer at the toe than at the heel and there is some rust near where the blade meets the frame and on the tang. I'm sure this one will be alot tougher to restore but I really like the look of the framebacks.

Last is a Veribest by C.E. Hoffman Co. of Dallas, TX. I've never heard of this company before but it was fairly cheap and in decent condition so I figured it might not be bad to practice sanding and honing on. Any information anyone has on this company would be appreciated.

That Engstrom frameback can turn out to be the best razor you have ever tried.
I'm not kidding when I say that that particual model of Eskilstuna framebacks are amongst the best shavers ever made!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I found the nice pipe razor, frame back, and Wade & Butcher in the same store. I couldn't believe they were all in one place and reasonably priced. :thumbup:

I found one of these over the weekend at an antiques shop in Springfield, MO.
The seller had glued pieces of Velcro to the blade and the scales so he could mount it to the cotton backboard inside a glass display case. :cursing::incazzato

Gotta love antique stores! Sometimes they are a pot of gold, but sometimes it takes a pot of gold to make a purchase. Nice finds too!:thumbup:
