Nice set.

For that kind of money I could buy SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more stuff. 5-10 Really nice straights, or even a custom and some really nice straights! Or a whole pile of user grade straights. Several nice brushes. Or I could buy enough soap to last any grandsons I may eventually have.

But, people spend what is to me ridiculous amounts of money every day on stuff, and I guess somebody has to market to that crowd.

Well, if you take a typical B&B member and add up the value of all their brushes and razors, I bet it would add up quite a bit.

past $1K easily... this is a beautiful set. add in a matching Hart razor and strop, in lieu of the cartridge razor, and this could easily be a a very very nice gift.
