Hey all! I am asking this for a friend. I happen to have an M3, however, I prefer my DE. I have yet to experiment with finding out how long it would last for me. Maybe I should try it. However, I am not sure I can because I am quite spoiled now. Thanks guys! :001_smile

In my case they can last for years because I hardly ever use them except for travel.

When I did use them daily, they seemed to last about a week before they started pulling.

I am in the same predicament as I really only use mine to travel or on those days I need a quickie! Ha!

I've found with carts that after about a week (5-7 shaves) its time to change them out as the are dull at the point and pull way too much.

Sweet! So far it's about a week, which is good. How many passes do you do in regards to this statistic? Thanks!

When I used them, I shaved Monday to Friday, 1 pass.

Nice! When you were doing your single pass, were you ATG or WTG? In other words, BBS? I think my friend does a 2 pass.

WTG only, I never did ATG before B&B. BBS? Not at all.

Same here, on very special occasions (the night I proposed and my wedding) I went ATG, and mine were good for about 6 single pass shaves, I used them for longer because I was cheap and stupid.

I used to get 5 shaves from a cartridge. I did a one pass shave in every direction as needed (I would move my goop around with my finger to reduce friction.).

Thank you all for sharing! I hate to say it, but I do love my Mach 3 in a jam. I get an incredibly close shave in about half the time, but I enjoy the whole process from start to finish with the DE. One day, I am going to try the Mach 3 for a week to see how it goes. Why not?

I completely gave up the Mach 3 and such.

I wish I could do this. I find its my saving grace when I am short on time. :001_smile

Trust me, you can't afford the blades. They cost about $13 to $16 for four measly blade inserts! I just had to look shopping today when others on here started complaining about it. I hadn't used anything but an electric, my DE razor (a Schick Krona) and occasionally Bic disposable razors (I did try some cheap twelve for a dollar dollar store knock-off once, those things pulled worse than a rusty blade right from the start). The day I pay $16 for four blades (approximately eight shaves) my parents will be putting ME in the old folks home!

The Sensor is my saving grace, and preferred when it comes to cartridges I just happen to have left over Mach 3 cartridges.

Ha! It's called eBay! I have seen them as low as $1.19 per cartridge. There was one guy selling 80 of them for $100 shipped! Now, that's not bad.. :thumbup1:

When I used them I got 3 to 4 weeks out of them. 5 shaves per week. They were a little rough that last week or so.

Wow! Now that's a lot! Talk about bang for your buck. I am thinking the "indicator" on the cart is a gimmick and you can truly get more out of the blade. Gillette just wants you to buy more!

Ehh, that's nothing. A friend of mine uses his for two months before replacing. I think I saw a video on youtube were a guy claimed to have been using his fusion cart. for almost 2 years. He claimed the secret was stopping the cart on his arm. The video is at shaveblog.com.

No kidding!! That is crazy! I will have to dig for that video. That is unheard of for a cartridge. :w00t:

I can get 2 weeks of shave with each Mach3 carts.
I wait for Mantic to review the Razorpit, it might be a good way to extend the life of the Mach3 carts.

Those are either a) stolen or b) iffy counterfeits.
I'd stay away unless you're absolutely sure of the seller.
