Getting into DE shaving and loving it.
Everything has gone well thanks too you guys on B&B.
But now even after reading i can't find a way too get a close shave along with the jawline.
Im quite skinny so even when 'bullfrogging' i cant get jawline evened out.
So any other tips that can let me get to those whiskers?
I want too go WTG but the grains goes along the jawline on my right side. Not my left http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/smilies/yellow_guys/glare.gif
Thanks for your time and i hope you can give some great tips.

Although over-stretching the skin with DE shaving has been discouraged (notably by Mantic59) it can't hurt to try it out and see if it gets it. I also have a sharp jawline and it worked for me in the past.

I agree with salisburyyates. The only way that I can get along the jaw line is by going ATG.
I usually do this on my second pass. And quite carefully. But I am not skinny(wish I were), and so maybe my chubby cheeks help this.
Good luck!

I find that opening my mouth moves the skin around my jawline up. I can then shave it in this position and it is much easier since it is nearly flat. Then I close my mouth and get the area below it that is also flat (on my neck).

+1 This is the only way I can get my jawline BBS. But I also rotate mild razors. Either a Tech, or open comb new.

I am a former competitive cyclist and consequently quite thin as well. I find that by also jutting my chin out/up it stretches the skin along the jawline in addition to stretching with fingers. Turning your head to the side (shaving left jaw, look "over" right shoulder) also helps.
Basically it will be a bit of trial and error but it will definitely become much easier. As you learn what works, try placing your index finger on a problem spot. Adjust using the things mentioned in this thread and see how it impacts the position for shave access.
Good luck!

I have to buff from jaw to chin to get it smooth... a few times.
The way my hair grows in that region, I have to go ATG.
Before you try that though, try stretching the skin up and then getting that area.

Some good advice given. Take a look at Mantic's video's on advance shave techniques, and give his J-hooking and Gillette slide a shot. Just be sure to use NO pressure at all when you do these. :thumbup1:

Great idea. Never thought of that.

Today i found out that opening my mouth or some stretching got those whiskers a little better. Still have a lots of technique too learn.
Will put my Feathers aside for a while, can't seem too get along with them.

As you look for those left over whiskers, pay attention to what direction your hand is moving as you feel them the most - that's the same direction you need to shave in to completely clean them up.
Watch out, of course, because that direction is a pure ATG and most likely to cut or irritate your skin, but that's the only way to completely remove them

I'm also thin and use the "jaw drop" technique and find it works well for me. Something else to consider is that in a typical multi-pass shave (say, 3-pass for example, WTG, 2x XTG) you're approaching the area from three different directions, and I find that between them spots that might be missed by one pass are almost always taken care of from a different direction just by how the razor and blade fit the bumps and dips differently.

I will do a WTG(north/south) and get as much as I can then I come back too it at the very end. I rinse the face and pat dry the cheeks, lather only the stubbly area along the jaw, then use my fingers to pull that area of stubble up above the jaw line with mouth open. Double pass XTG in opposite directions cleans it off quite well.

You might get better results if you relax as you shave your neck. The key is prep.

I do the cheek puff thing for my jawline. I force a ton of air into my cheeks for this. I look liked a darned fool but it makes getting the jawline easier for me. Works like a charm.

A trick I've read here is...
Open your mouth all the way.. it worked wonders for me.
It' moves (not stretches) the skin so you can shave it.. I don't know why I never figured that out on my own.
