TIPTLE, in like-new condition

Not much to say about this one. It's the legendary Pierre Thiers Limited Edition razor by Thiers Issard, made from blanks forged by Pierre Thiers himself in the 1880s. Only 450 were ever sold, and this one is number 208. Not one bit of damage or flaw to show that this razor isn't new, except for the tiniest of pinhead water spots towards the toe end of the blade. The one water dot was there when I purchased the razor, and I don't want to remove it because doing so might harm the gold wash. Anyway, price is $475 which includes shipping CONUS. (I'm also offering a really nice Droescher hone right now for $350. For a ridiculous combo package, I'd accept $750 for both the TIPTLE and the Droescher, in case anyone is interested.) Thanks for the kind comments, gentlemen. Yes, it's a fantastic shaver and I've been fortunate to own it. I'm a little too paranoid to use the blade much, however, which is why I'd like to sell it and buy one or two more practical razors.

Anyway, to answer your questions, the blade width is actually 6/8, although it doesn't look like it. Something about the shape of the spine and tang makes the blade look and feel much smaller, but it is actually a pretty wide one.

Also, the scales are made out of blonde horn, like you see on other high-end TI razors. They are tight and perfectly straight, of course. The TI leather sheath that came with the razor was pretty scratched up, so I replaced it with the new one you see in the photos. Thanks again for looking.
