Anyone else know of this band.

I enjoyed a concert here in Auckland last night. Truly fantastic. China Forbes is a great singer and all band members are excellent players.

I heartily recommend this band.

I have a number of their albums (I don't have the new one, which is apparently quite good). They played with the San Francisco Symphony this year (and years past) and I'm sorry I missed them because they would have been great.

I've seen them quite a few times, from large arenas to small clubs where my wife and I had tables right down in front. Their music is hard to classify, but they certainly have something for every taste. What I really appreciate, though, is that they are a very accessible, fan-friendly group despite their popularity. My wife and I saw them in Chicago a few years ago, and immediately after the show, the band sat at tables right outside the auditorium and signed pictures, albums. Go see 'em!

I love this group! I have all of their albums and saw them live at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra earlier this year (a very thoughtful birthday gift from my wife, I might add). Amazingly talented group and they put on one heck of a show.

I've seen them at the Hollywood Bowl, where they usually do an end-of-summer concert. They put on a great show. My one complaint about them is that I feel there is a lack of sincerity about China Forbes's singing style. It's all very arch and tounge-in-cheek in an Algonquin Round Table, Noel Coward sort of way, and it grates on me after a while, so I tend not to listen to their records. But I'd see them again live, particularly at a venue at which I can drink (clear) Martinis.
