I saw this sitting in a case and it was only $12, so what the heck. It has a very soft knot in it. I did some research and it looks like this one and the measurements seem to be the same:

The other side has a label "George & Son/Portland, Or/Since 1870"
I gather from google George & Son is a cutlery shop downtown, but I've never been there.
Is this something Vulfix does, rebranding their products? It could be a knockoff, but the quality is very nice. And it is without doubt, the most modern brush now I own. :biggrin1:
thanks

Vulfix sells many rebranded brushes. $12 for this brush is a very good deal.

Like Robert says, it is indeed a Vulfix and a nice find indeed at that price.
A lot of people poopoo 'em because of the soft knot. I gifted both my brothers one each for Xmas a couple of years ago; one uses it daily with AOS soap and the other uses it daily with Proraso cream. None understand why I have more than one brush myself

I literally just sold this brushes twin on eBay, the buyer told me what it was. Some vulfix. 2334 or something like that. It sells for like $50-60 new if I remember right. I got like $25 for it, so yeah for $12 you got a deal. I use soaps exclusively, and while it worked fine, it wasn't nearly firm enough for my liking. Probably a decent cream knot.

Thank you for all the responses!
Performed great with GFT Roses cream lathered in a bowl, but I also like a firmer knot with soaps or face lathering. Sure felt nice on my face.
