Thinking about placing an order for a TGQ soap or two. Which fragrance do you prefer?
I tried sample sizes of Savon de Campagne and Provence Lavender. Of the two, I preferred the former.
I've never tried any of the other scents. I think the Highlander sounds most interesting. I don't care for musky or woody or dark scents, and prefer citrus and light-smelling stuff.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

The Highlander is probably my all time favorite shave soap scent.
truly unique. light. intriguing. amazing.
BTW, Toasted Almond, Blackberry sage, and Armani Code are all great too. no surprises on what the scent will smell like.

Highlander was my least favorite and my wife felt the same way. However, I like spicy, woody scents and not so much the citrus so it may be just up your alley. What I did was order the samples and 1 ounce sizes to try the scents out. My absolute favorites (not including the discontinued Leatherneck) are Desert ironwood, Oak & Moss, and Cavendish Black. Also liked the Lavender as well.
All are quality shave soaps and she does offer a great variety of scents for everyone.

Well, I just ordered three samples: Highlander, Blackberry Sage, and Toasted Almond.
Hopefully, at least one of these three will be a great scent for me, so I can order a full-sized puck or two.:w00t:

The samples melt very nicely into pyrex or anchor hocking bowls.
You will be stunned when you smell these.:001_tt1::001_tt1::001_tt1::001_tt1:

I was going to recommend Desert Ironwood that is my favorite by a margin. Orange Patchouli is #2. I need to sample whiskey and toasted almond still. Colleen makes quality stuff.

Highlander is quite nice. I think you'll like that one, kingfisher. It's a shame that Leatherneck is gone -- that's my favorite of the bunch, followed by Autumn Spice.
I've tried a sample of Gentlemen's Whiskey. The scent is as advertised, but ends up being too sweet/cloying for my taste.

I would HIGHLY advise Desert Ironwood but your sniffer and mine disagree...I also like Pen's Opus

I think you'll like Highlander - It definately has a citrus scent.
The Gentlemans Whiskey is pretty brutal. I love me some Bourbon but this smelled nothing like it. I can't bring myself to use it
