2 very different Gem 1901 razors!

I just received another Gem 1901 lather catcher today and it still has all of it's nickel plating left. When I put it next to my other one I noticed a few differences. The first thing I noticed is that they have different angles to them and then I noticed the size of the combs is very different. The Gem with all of the worn off plating has a lot beautiful writing on the backside of the head while the one I got today just says Gem Jr.. I just didn't realize that there was that much of a variation between their 1901 models.

Do they shave the same? I am waiting for a Lather Catcher that is coming to me in the mail and I can't wait to try it out, I love the SE razors. Both the pieces you have there are very nice but the writing on the back of one on the left is really cool.

I haven't tried the new one yet because I just got home and found the package waiting for me, The brassy looking one shaves awesome and the Ever-Ready lather catcher that came in yesterday also shaves awesome. I'll let you know in a little while how the new one does.
