Greetings to the Crew of the Badger and Blade,
After lurking for over a year and converting over to a DE razor, I would like to thank everyone for their very helpful posts. It has taken me about a year to improve my technique to a point that I am happy with my shaving with the DE razor. As soon as I switched to DE I saw improvement but I still had a ways to go (and still do ;)) Reading the posts and watching Mantics videos continued to refine my technique. I have seen good improvement even for a blade that was poor for me (USA personna). Now I have switched to Derby Extras and I do not have any of the pulling, tugging and the razor rash has improved greatly. I still have to work on my technique because I find that I still have to get used to the new razor. The latest addition/change has been starting to use Mama Bear's shaving Soap. The scent of the Bay Rum soap is what I have always imagined shaving should be like.
A work in progress,
Spattznatt
