A couple of months ago I found two Dubl Ducks...A Special No. 1 at a flea market for $15 and a GoldEdge for $20 at an antique store. I sent them to Bob Keyes and they came back beautiful. The Special No. 1 had a frown, and that is gone now. They both look brand new.
Some special thanks to danjared on the forum who had offered to polish the Special No. 1 for me for free and LarryAndro who was very nice and helpful when I contacted him about honing. I kind of got freaked out about sending them across the country too many times, and Bob Keyes was not too far away. Thanks, guys.

I really enjoy buying razors from Bob and seeing his work. He can really keep a razors originality and is he's picky as hell when it comes to his work. Heck, you know he's good if he has a positive review from Bill Ellis:001_smile

I was thrilled. Plus, he seems to be a super nice person. I will be sending him some more razors. I'm picking around antique stores now for a few candidates.

Bob can use my name as an endorsement anytime he wants. He is one of the few guys who do this type of work that I can say it about without hesitation.

Very nice score and excellent restore work. You've got a couple ducks to be proud of now.

Wow, those turned out really nice! I love it when the original scales are restored along with the blades.

I purchased my first ever SR from Bob. It was a vintage Torrey that should be arriving in a couple of days.
I've seen pics of other refurbs and Bobs, to my eye, are tops. He really does go all the way and make a piece of history live again.
Congrats on the DD's. They look marvelous and I'm sure that you'll enjoy them.
EDIT: Also this makes me want a DD... <sarcasm>THANKS</sarcasm>

Two great shavers, Bob is great have got a few razors from him all ready and will probably get a few more too. I like his style and selection of razors, they all come out looking "better than new" which is accurate and shave perfectly too :)

Way to turn that frown upside down.
