Hey all,
I remember coming across a pure black DE a little while ago here at B&B and it really caught my eye. I just love that look.
Does anybody have some pictures of one?
Are they very common/ easy to find?
Any recommendations if I am looking to get one? I AM still fairly new at this DE stuff, but I would be interested in ANY kind of suggestion anyone has. Or maybe someone has one they are willing to sell?
Cheers, mr. s
One of those? :001_smile

You're probably looking for a contract tech. They're not that difficult to find, though they're not popping up everywhere like old types or ball-handled techs. I even saw a military-antique site that was selling them, and it sounded like they had a stock of 'em--the one they pictured was in awful shape, though!

.....annnd yes.
I just love how these look.
Yes, Bay Rum, the one you were selling was actually the first one that I saw. Beautiful razor.
So a Contract Tech is probably the best bet for one of these? Bay Rum, is $40 common for the one that you sold? I really like that one.

I love the way a Wilkinson Classic looks.
I like the way it feels - nice balance.
Pity it won't cut the beard!!

You can buy the Goodfella razor here

I had one but I thought it was a bit too small and light. I gave it to my son as an introduction to DE shaving and he likes it.

I had a black razor once. Turns out it was a tarnished single ring. Who knew?
