I bought from a vendor on B&B, both to support those who support us, and based on feedback other members have given. I'd like to post about the experience. What would be the best forum? "General Shaving Discussion" or the "Vendor Corner"?

Tell us more about this purchase on this thread!

Sometimes they show up on the General forum if there is a good story behind it. Most of the time the thank you's tend to go in the particular vendors thread (assuming they have one). Who was this wondrous vendor? We have so many its hard to guess who it might have been.

It should be in the shopping and deals forum.

I will assist you in that.:thumbup1:

OK:

...drum roll...

it was TheSuperiorShave.com!

I placed an order for the last Merkur Slant (39C) they had in stock on August 30th. I got an immediate email acknowledging my order, and another email on the 31st (both seemed to be auto-generated), and a personal message from Jarrod letting me know when it would arrive -- a very nice touch! The razor arrived, well packed, on September 2nd and I tried it for the first time this morning.

I really like the personal touch, and the site feels like visiting a small, local shop. Simple, well-organized, and the owner obviously knows his products.

I've been considering the razore for a few weeks, and when I saw on the site that he only had one left (thanks for the warning!) I had to grab it.

I buy almost everything on-line through Amazon.com, but this is my new first stop for shaving purchases.

I also *love* the razor! I had no idea it would make that much difference. I've been using Feather blades in a Parker 98R, and finally got my technique consistant enough so I wanted to try something different. Wow! I may be passing the Parker on to my son soon (if I can pry the Mach III out of his hands).

Final note: one of my considerations when evaluating the various online vendors was recommendations from others here on B&B, so thanks to everyone else who posted that they had good experiences. It gave me a lot more confidence.
