Good evening gents. I thought I would pass along that Au Marche is now carrying Roger & Gallet products. www.aumarche.com This wonderful little store is a real gem. They carry a good assortment of L’occitane products as well as the Institut Karite shave soap. Imagine my complete surprise when I traipsed in today and saw a big display of Roger et Gallet product. Wow! My pulse raced at that sight. Most of the soaps were available three ways. 25g guest soaps, single bath soaps in plastic presentation boxes, and a boxed set of three bath soaps. Here’s a rundown on the product in stock.
Jean Marie Farina(eau de cologne)-edt and soaps
Vetyver- edt and soaps(REALLY loved it)
Green Tea-edt and soaps(loved it)
Bouquet Imperial-edt and soaps
Blue Lotus-edt and soaps
Bois de Santal- box of three soaps
One of the other floral scented soaps in the three box set.
Sorry, can’t remember if it was Magnolia, Gardenia, or Carnation.
Set of six, 25g guest soaps- Floral and Woody scents. This one contained Fougere and Bois de Santal(their version of sandalwood). A huge thumbs up for the Fougere. I had heard so much about this scent and was sure I would like it. I loved it. The BdS is so-so to me.
The young chap at the counter told me he would be glad to order anything from the line that I wanted but did not see in the store. How is that for customer service? Here is an interesting tidbit. I went to the R&G website to pore over products before ordering anything. I was immediately struck by two things. First, the website photos are pretty good but no close ups. Second, the site itself is abomination to actually get around in. You are met with multiple links and levels to get to different products and can easily miss more detailed menus if you don’t look carefully at the page. I am also struck that like most of our Euro toiletry companies, the site is woefully incomplete in the products listings. I could not find Blue Lotus edt anywhere on the site but there it was, on display in the store. I do not expect any company to endlessly edit their website on a daily basis. I would however like an easy to navigate interface and a fairly complete product listing. Okay, end of rant.
Give these good folks a call if you live anywhere out here in cattle country. They are most accommodating and very helpful.
Regards,Todd
