I have a pressure treated wood deck that was built not long ago.... What in your opinion is the absolute BEST product to protect that wood deck? I don't mind spending the cash on keeping this deck looking nice. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Not sure if it is "the best" but I have used CWF for years with good results. Do the deck and the fence every other year and they look brand new afterwards. We use the Cedar versus clear and are very happy with it.

I just used Thompson's Water Seal for the first time on a pergola I recently built. Instructions say that it only takes 1 thin coat. Well, after I was finished I noticed a few places that were stained lighter in color than other places and I tried to go over it again. It repelled itself!!

It has rained since then, and this stuff makes the water bead up on the wood like a new wax job on a car does. I've been told that it needs to be re-applied every two years, though.

my grandpa used to soak the deck planks in motor oil for a couple of days.

I prefer CWF - UV and Wollman's
