It is a great little razor - heavier than the average 5/8. It is the only razor I have which was honed by someone else. Once it spends some time on the J-Nats., I think it will excel.

Both of my Japanese razors are really, really smooth and easy to use. (I honed them from beginning to end on one of my Japanese naturals.) Should you have the opportunity, I'd highly recommend trying one.

Great shave, even with cheap products (Nivea and Palmolive) available in every store around the corner.
Palmolive Sensitive is a very fine shaving cream, very moisturising.
As for the Nivea Replenishing... it works very well, it's not expensive (although this one was an offer:biggrin1:) but I'm not quite fond of the fragrance.

Well after my last shave,which was amazing, thanks to my NOS Revisor Gold. I couldnt resist and went and bought the other one in the class. Also i recieved 6 razor's freshly honed by Ray at GB. WOO HOO!!! Cant wait to try them all. We were gone to the beach for 2 days. When i got home my other Revisor was her. Waiting for me like a lost Puppy!
So many to choose from. Why do i do this to myself? Oh yea!! RAD and loving it! So i decided on the Bengall, I have been dying to try one of these, and the new new revisor.
Well i have to tell you gents. I have found shaving NIRVANA!!!!
BBS Perfection. I usually get smooth shaves but the past 2 are a step above that. The last shave took 3 days for enough growth where as it usually takes only 2.

Method: Ice cold shave. Brush soaked in frigid water, face scrubbed with frigid water, lather made with frigid water. Very refreshing, and very smooth. I love the cold.


Razors: Thiers Issard 6/8 Worked Back (Name unknown) and a W. Greaves 7/8 wedge.
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root
Brush: H. L. Thater 24mm silvertip.
Strop: Kagaroo hide

Result: Another scorcher in LA and surrounding areas today, but a great day of my usual hike/run in our local mountains (See background in picture), after which I came home to a nice hot shower (with Léo Delibes' Opera, Lakmé playing in the background), followed by prepping the beard with some almond oil as pre-shave. The überlather was prepared using CarrieM creme/Mama Bear soap/Glycerin (I had missed my CarrieM cremes for a few days now :thumbup1:)...thick, very moist, and lots of cushion. In honor of today's SOTD, I brought out my Special Ed. "Wacker" to christen the day. Well, needless to say that my shave was extremely satisfying and close. Today is going to be a great day:thumbup:.

Had my first go 'round with my newly-acquired birth year razor:

- Gillette T1 super adjustable set to "4" loaded with an astra blade (1st try with this blade also)
- Real shaving co. sensitive cream
- Blue & white-handled vintage fuller boar brush (my favorite brush among my 3)
- Old spice glass bottle original scent AS (flea market find this weekend)

Great shave!

Old spice lasted until I sat down on the couch beside SWMBO, though.
SWMBO: "You smell like my Dad. Did you use old spice?"
Me: "Yes...is that bad?"
SWMBO: "I'm not kissing you, that would be creepy."

Had my first go 'round with my newly-acquired birth year razor:

- Gillette T1 super adjustable set to "4" loaded with an astra blade (1st try with this blade also)
- Real shaving co. sensitive cream
- Blue & white-handled vintage fuller boar brush (my favorite brush among my 3)
- Old spice glass bottle original scent AS (flea market find this weekend)

Great shave!

Old spice lasted until I sat down on the couch beside SWMBO, though.
SWMBO: "You smell like my Dad. Did you use old spice?"
Me: "Yes...is that bad?"
SWMBO: "I'm not kissing you, that would be creepy."
Me: "I like old spice." :bored:
SWMBO: "You can wear it all you want on your business trips." :biggrin1:
