New England Birch scaled Gold Dollar

Unmodified 13/16 GD (aside from trimming back the heel a bit for easier honing), mounted in Birchcrylic(tm, patents pending, etc. :w00t:) scales. A strip of the raw material can be seen in the background.

The birch bark is 100% organic, and responsibly harveted---in other words, I went down by the pond (shown below) and got some....:thumbup1:

I don't even shave with a straight razor and I want this one. I used to live in NH and loved the white birches that were near where we lived.

Wow, it arrived today and it is very nice razor. I ran it across the back of my hand and it easily lifted off a patch of hair with no pressure. It is nice looking and I can't wait to learn how to use it!

Being a Seraphim-honed edge it will very likely be the sharpest edge you've ever had close to your hand . . . IMHO.:thumbup1:
