I've only tried the Big Bens from the blue pack. Has anyone shaved with the other pack colors, and if so, what difference if any did you notice between the different blades? The blue pack Big Bens are definitely within my top 5 blades of the varieties I have tried thus far.

Got a good sampling of Lord blades from a vendor who was banned from this site, just before he closed his store.
I've tried Crown blue, Silver Star, ASCO Orange, Rainbow, Racer grey, Shark Super Stainless, and most recently the Big Ben Blue.
Not sure what the difference is between the Big Ben blues and purples, other than 5 vs. 10 blades in a pack. The Big Ben purples are rated as just acceptable over at SMF.
I had great results with Sharks, and ordered a bulk lot based on their price, best of any of the Lord brands. Also had good or better results with the others, except the Big Ben blue. I used it on a first pass, then finished with a Polsilver.
Finished up the Big Ben blue just using it for first passes, unable to get acceptably close with it.
As always with blades, YMMV.

YMMV is so true when it comes to blades. I found the Sharks to be the least acceptable for me out of all the Lord blades I've used. The best Lords for me (by far) was a tie between the Big Ben blue pack and the Asco orange pack.
I never even thought about the only difference between the various colored packs being blade count. Dur!:tongue_sm:lol:
