Old Type 460-B set question

I have a set like that with a razor of 1910.
Is that the right razor to this set or what year did these sets started?

I would think the 460-B set probably existed in 1910. Your set is most likely an early set. It is shown in an Ad on Mr Razors site dated 1911 and is shown next to a few ABC sets that existed at least in 1909. But it is really hard to pinpoint when some of these sets were introduced.

The later sets had MADE IN USA across the top of the Gillette logo inside the lid, too.

Yeah I have one of those, and also it reads "known the world over" but there's no date code on the razor.

Interesting. Then the early sets were different then the later sets since Gillette didn't introduce the diamond trademark until sometime in 1908.

yes, the logo was introed in 1908, but the single ring was introed in 1906 to 1920, i believe the brownie came next.

I snagged this 1918 (serial H899256) set from UK Ebay today for approx. $27.50.

Unfortunately the blades are in the way of the logo but you can see the difference from when they began making these sets to about the end of life for these sets.

It also says MADE IN USA above the diamond logo, which wasn't present since day 1. The blades are mostly covering it up but you can see some of it.

It all evens out. I pay too much for somethings but get it back in other things.
