Man that fatboy shaves nicely! I had only tried it once, and i think the combo of hard water (I was out of town) and some pre-existing angry ingrowns influenced me to ignore it for the last three weeks...but I'm so glad I brought it back out...shaved so incredibly I can't believe it. I used settings of 3 for my face and 2 for my neck and got a really close, sweet shave.

the SCS savory rose is really nice, and when coupled with the thayer's rose I'm left feeling so totally calmed and relaxed. Great shave! :thumbup:

Unique razor - pink swirl scales - gotta love it. Actually, I got it because ot the blade. 10/10 performer after some work. Plan to get it to 10+/10 (if it has it in) and use as a default shaver.

A superb 5 pass shave this morning after two days of being very much under the weather with the stubble to show it. :crying:

The QED Sandalwood has to be my top performing soap in my lineup and it is pretty much impossible for me to get anything less than an excellent shave out of it. I added the C&E Almond to help boost up the moisture and protection content since my face was pretty dry this morning. No nick, weepers or cuts and no burning from the alum either.

To celebrate I pulled out my locked-away vial of Diptyque Tam Dao to fully celebrate the wonders of sandalwood!

This is a really aggressive razor (one side, it seems, more than the other), but if I pay close attention to my technique -- deliberate and methodical -- it shaves like nobody's business. I escaped with only two nicks, which is as much a testament to the QED "Wild Rose" shaving soap, as it is to my ever-improving skills as a wetshaver.

Great shave today. Now that I've discovered the Skinfood as a pre-shave-treatment I don't wanna miss it anymore. It helps my dry skin and also prevents the usual sligh redness on my neck from appearing.

Morning from the UK.

First day using my newly acquired Gillette Slim Adjustable, and what a shave. Didn't think anything could shave better than my Merkur HD, but the Slim on setting 4, hardly felt anything touching my skin. Feel fantastic.

I'm really loving the Speick A/S and MB ASB combo. My face feels great, moisturized and irritation free! The Speick smells heavy but dries quickly and does not prevent the other scents in the shave from standing strong which I greatly appreciate.

The Musgo Real cologne is a new purchase from Lee and I have only used it this morning so far. It smells great but it seems to be one of those scents who's range will be only enjoyed by yourself and your SWMBO. :lol:

Cranked the fatboy up a few notches from my usual and had amazing results...so smooth after just one pass...was able to approach BBS without going anywhere near ATG. Of course the alum stung quite a bit and I'll probably pay for my overconfidence with a sea of little red bumps...but right now I am very very pleased with the shave.

Shave's okay, but I my face was on fire even after the Nivea. So I layed on a nice moisturizing layer of body butter. Some people claim it's a little heavy for use on the face, but it has never bothered me. Not something for use in the morning though, as it leaves your face a little shiny. Real nice before bed, very healing.

Ouch. Very ouch. The SR100 pure brush is stiff, scratchy, and I think is what started the redness on my neck tonight. That, combined with the QED shave stick (still learning how to use one), I got VERY thick lather, and very lubricating, but for some reason I have two nicks that are pretty bad, and the Menthol A/S milk burns something FIERCE. It's never done that before. :eek2:

very nice shave actually...one weeper that was actually the remnants of an ingrown sliced by the feather...stopped bleeding before the third pass. My non-shaveworthy state of mind did not seem to affect the shave. It was nice to return to the familiar HD after several days with the fatboy...variety is the spice of life but it felt like I was coming home after a long vacation.

Yeah...I was just curious if this was a typo or the real deal. I have a Juniper EO mini stick that he sent along at one point that I really like. I don't believe it ever made it to the production line though. Maybe I am the only one who enjoyedi it...who knows. That stick with a swirl of QED Limes gives a mighty fine G&T shave...

When I told him about what I did with the lime he stated that is why he made the Bathtub Gin Body soap...Juniper with Lemon and Lime. Now I am not sure the differences between his shave soaps and body soaps. The recipe sounds good to me though...

This razor and shaving-cream/EDT combination has become my "Friday-evening shave team". I'm going out for dinner tonight, at the home of an Israeli couple whom I met while working-out at the gym, and the chit-chat while doing cardio has blossomed. To tell you the truth, this will be the first home-cooked meal (other than my own) I'll have eaten since Pesach 2005... a couple of weeks shy of two years ago... way too long.

I'm glad I've got these tools, and have steadily been improving my technique in using them... only one tiny nick, and it was closed by the time I splashed on the witch-hazel.

I feel (and look) good!

So does the razor... all my razors look good, but you wouldn't know it, because I can't supply any photos. I need to buy a macro lens and table tripod; then I won't be "just another pretty face".

Wow, This was my first shave with Mamma Bear's soap and I must say this is the best soap I've had the pleasure of using. Close shave, BBS all over and not a sign of blood or irritation. Elements of bamboo is highly recommended for those days when you want a light fragrance that is fresh but calming. Next I'll try her toasted coconut, smells like something I'd use midweek when the stress has ground me into a shadow of a man and I need something sweet.

!!!! Taken from a tip by our very own TraderJoe, who touched on applying an alcohol-based aftershave immediately after shaving and rinsing.
I switched up the order my of post-shave skincare regiment. I have to say this is the BEST my face has felt in a LOOONG time. TJ's definitely touched on something with this immediate application of the AB/AS. He's like an easy-to-comprehend version of Charles Roberts (without all the esoteric psycho-babble :out:)

Two WTG passes is all I had time for before rushing out the door to church, but a VERY nice job on 3 days growth. The Feather didn't chew up my face on shave 3 like the Merkurs and Derbys did; Tuesday is my next "scheduled" shave day, so I'll see what a 4th shave is like.

Kyle's prep 'n shaving routine is now mine. I do not deviate from it, not even a little bit. Hot towel on face, wait; initial lathering, then massage it in with fingertips, over a 2-to-3-minute period; another hot towel on face, wait; re-lather; first pass (WTG); another hot towel on face, wait; re-lather; second pass (ATG); another hot towel on face, wait; re-lather; third pass (XTG); another hot towel on face, wait; rinse brush in hot water and shake-out; cold towel on face, wait; rinse brush in cold water and shake-out; hang-up brush; wipe-up and rearrange area; alum bar or styptic pencil on face, wait; splash on witch-hazel to refresh face and clean-off alum/styptic pencil. Voila! another BBS shave!

Kyle rocks. If you follow his directions, "it's so easy, a caveman could do it!"
