View Full Version : What's the best spaceship?

Millennium Falcon is probably the Ferrari of spaceships and the Enterprise was an Aston Martin but I always liked the TARDIS. It's the Mini Cooper of spaceships. What's your favourite?

The Millennium Falcon was more like an import tuner(Honda Civics, etc.) It was designed as a regular freighter and HEAVILY modified to be able to do the things it did.

Fake: The re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. I really want a model of it so I can scare off women.
Real: The Excelsior Gondola. It didn't get to space, but it was close enough for me, and Joseph Kittinger sky dived out of it at about 19 miles up.

Good call with the Soviets. It's actually quite amazing how far mankind advanced during the cold war. Maybe we should have another one.:biggrin1:
Interesting story about the race to collect German rocket scientists at the end of WWII. Both sides knew the cold war was coming and didn't want 'them' to get the space edge.

I'm reminded of what Anthony Lane of The New Yorker said in his review of Epsiode III: Revenge of the Sith: "The general opinion of 'Revenge of the Sith' seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes, 'The Phantom Menace' and 'Attack of the Clones.' True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion."
