What goes on first? Styptic pencil or Aftershave?

Question in the title. Im not sure which to use immediately post-shave. Should I do aftershave on top of the styptic pencil residue on my nicks or apply the pencil on top of the aftershave in those areas? Answers and feedback appreciated =D

Welcome to B&B Sid. After applying the steptic pencil to the cut and all bleeding has stopped. Wipe residue from affected area and then apply after shave to face.

I splash my face with Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel and then usually clears up any problems. If not, the Mr. Styptic comes out. :wink2:

I go to the Styptic first and than follow that with my aftershave.

As with any first aid, the first thing is to stop the bleeding. Then you can do whatever you like afterward.

Always the styptic first then the AS or balm. You might want to try the alum block, use that all over your face after the shave is done. :thumbup1:
