For sale -- a restored Rubberset brush with new 26mm Silvertip badger knot (with extra stuffing) from The Golden Nib. The new knot has never been used or placed in water. Price is $65 including shipping within the US.

This is an older black-and-cream Rubberset handle in very good condition that I restored. As you can see, there are no chips, nicks or cracks, but the handle does have a nice patina of wear from years of use.

I filled the hollow handle with epoxy and stainless steel nuts to give it some weight, which I think makes the brush more comfortable to use.

As I said above, the knot is a 26 mm Silvertip with extra stuffing from the Golden Nib. You will see that fitting the 26 mm knot into this size handle is not easy, but I think that the larger knot fills the handle better than a 24 mm would and gives the brush a nice look.

Price includes shipping within the US. If you want shipping overseas, just send me a message and I will tell you what the difference in price will be. Thanks for looking!

I did this exact same restoration. It's my favorite brush! If you like large brushes this is the one! Love mine so much my I force my self to use my other two resto's and they ain't no slouchy brushes either. My suggestion jump on this one fellas!

I did one of these with the 28mm knot. It is a monster of a brush that looks really really cool. I sold mine and am very disappointed I did. Guess I'm just going to have to restore another if I can get lucky and find one. Awesome brush dude good luck with the sale.

That thing looks GORGEOUS! I only own one brush and SBAD isn't really my thing, but that brush is one I would LOVE to get my hands on.

Thanks for the kind comments. I really like these long handle Rubbersets too. Joe, I have no idea how you fit a 28 mm into this size handle, so you'll have to share your trade secret with me someday!

Anyway brush is reserved pending funds. Thanks for looking!

Well after looking back at my sale thread it was not quite the same handle. Close but slightly different. Check it out.

Ah you even commented on it. I remember you did a orange and cream with the 28mm or something like that.
