Coffee is just too dangerous as it tends to make my shaving hand shake a bit! Would you just prefer a beer or a gin & tonic? Perhaps a Bloody Mary would be best. I am doing my best to enhance the more pleasurable aspect of dragging a razor blade on my face. Thanks.

My friend, if you're starting the day with a cocktail, you probably shouldn't be picking up a live blade!

Who says he's not a night shaver, and besides, you have to ask yourself, What would Winston do?

I think he'd sit in the tub and have his butler shave him.

I'm not a fan of fancy cocktails, so it's gin and tonic or a rum and Coke. Bottoms up!

And if he is a morning shaver a screw driver is a good choice to get your day started with some Vitamin C.

I have to admit that I'm more of a night shaver. I do a glass of red for dinner, shower, shave and then end with a shot of wild turkey. After that I put on the robe and read the paper by the fire, very relaxing. Makes for some sweet dreams!

Or a tequila sunrise.

But seriously, don't over do it. When I've shaved after a couple drinks I can be quite careless and end up giving myself a nasty nick. One drink seems to be OK before a shave for me though.

Useless Trivia Alert:
A shaken martini has slightly more antioxidants over a stirred one. Researchers are not sure why that is the case. Perhaps James Bond knew something we didn't. Then again, if he did he wouldn't order a vodka martini over a proper martini.

I am going to have to vote for a nice scotch on the rocks, preferably with a burnt twist!

This summer I have done a few evening shaves at the weekend and found that having a cold beer at the same time is exceedingly pleasurable. I finish up feeling that bit more relaxed! I don't think I'd ever drink and then shave though.
