How close is MB Dublin Tweed to Creed GIT?

I've used the MB Dublin Tweed shaving soap and bar soap. It's in the same neighborhood to be sure. Probably closer to Irish Spring to my nose than GIT.

But for the price, it was worth it.

Are you looking at the support products or does she sell an AS as Dublin Tweed too?

What about MB's Doublin Tweed EDT, how close is it to GIT? I am not concerned about the cost of GIT, but after having owned three different bottles and many official samples I have concluded that their consistency is very poor from batch to batch. Sometimes it smells like the divine ambrosia, sometimes it smells like watered-down Cool Water and sometimes it's just plain vile toiled bowl cleaner. I have eventually found a bottle that is close to my ideal GIT (have about 0.5ML left in one of the sample vials). So, assuming that MB's Doublin Tweed EDT is consistent from batch to batch, is it a viable substitute for GIT for those of us who gave up in desperation after having tried to find the "golden" juice?

Also curious about MB's Mountain Water - how is it, both in the soap and the EDT form? I love Creed's SMW, but sadly I could only find the SMW that smells like the nectar of the gods once, three other attempts ended in disappointment (legit official juice on all occasions).

I find it spot on. There is something about special about MB's Mountain Water. It is just so refreshing & uplifting :thumbup1:

MB's mountain waters DOES smell like fresh SMW. But in my humble opinion, the MB DIT smelled more like Irish Spring than anything.

I can't speak for the EDT by Mama, but the shaving soap is very close to the original scent. I have a bottle of GIT and the aftershave balm, and throw in a Dublin Tweed +KMF Unscented superlather for special occasions.

THe Creed bath soap is also fantastic, but I'd try Mama Bear's version before shelling out another $30.00 to Creed.:blink:
