I loaded my Edwin Jagger Medium Best badger brush with this stuff today and...HOLY LATHER!!! about 5 swirls into my mug and this stuff just exploded. My mug was actually overflowing by the time I got the consistency I wanted, and I only used the standard almond size amount. Not the best lavender smell I've ever experienced but still a very good one. Fantastic stuff:thumbup:

It is a nice cream. I'm with you on the eh' side of the scent. It is one of my wife's favorite creams too.

Taylors Lavender is a nice shaving cream indeed.
But for the very best Lavender cream you have to get Castle Forbes Lavender Oil.:thumbup1:
Obviously, my opinion.

This was my first cream I used when I jumped into DE shaving. Great stuff!

I'm probably one of the biggest advocates of the Taylor's shave creams having been using them since as long as I can remember. I've bought a few tubs of this stuff, using it initially with a badger brush and my fusion razor before I made the full conversion with the DE razor, obtaining decent shaves.
I tried it with the DE set up while I was still honing my technique and didn't get a great shave. I'd probably put that down to my still ropey technique more than the cream. That bad experience has put me off using it again a little.
Still, having been getting great shaves using the feather blade I'm going to try it shaving it at night again sometime soon, as I love the scent of Lavendar at night :001_smile
