Nothing a good cleaning won't take care of!
I won't boil the handle just the head(afraid the plastic might melt)

A Merkur Progress came for me today, improved with a fluted stainless steel knob by Mer (Eric). It is a beauty... This is now the best razor in my collection.

-I boiled this razor in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach. I turned around for about 30 seconds and the water was black. Don't use a bleach based solution. The handle still looks o.k. but somewhat faded. It's a good little shaver. You should enjoy it.

My wife really liked my BBS face after my first DE shave last night, so maybe she'll make the occasional shave supply purchase for me in the future. :cornut:

After hearing a while back that many of the Sir Irish Moos products are discontinued I rode my bike to our local drug-store to see if they had anything from them left. All I scored was a deodorant-stick (which I dearly love), so at least I've got a spare one of those. No shaving cream-stick left, though, what a pity.
Anyway, I also purchased the following things:
- Tabac AS 100ml
- Nivea creme in the blue tub for my very dry skin
- Palmolive Classic SC (EU version)

Beautiful brushes and razors!
I'm trying to decide how nice of a brush I want to get to upgrade from my Proraso Omega. Everytime I see a picture of someone's B&B brush I think that maybe I should hold off on buying a brush until the 2007 B&B brushes come are available to order (I'm assuming that there will be 2007 B&B brushes and razors).
I was Driving but the Antique Mall that I had the large haul and said lets just stop maybe he drop off some more doubted it but, He did:
2 Large handle Silver Techs NIB $3
1 Gold Ball Tech NIB $6
1 Schick NIB $2
1 50's SS Mint in Case $5
15 Packs Vintage unopened Blades $10
And I splurge And Spent $13 on This

Yeah, but you've got to admit, this stuff looks way better whilst shaving than a utilitarian cartridge razor and canned goo!

Purchased on Feb. 14th - Gillette - Azul Aco Inox - Gillette do Brasil Ltdo.
Blue Inox
Produced in stainless steel, with wire coated with a special material that reduces the consuming and provides one to shave softer.
On my recent trip to Brazil, I happened to forget to pack my Derby blades  , and had to search out DE blades. The Blue Inox blades were all that I could find, as South America... or, at least Brazil... has also fallen prey to the multi-blade market, just like in the US. :001_rolle
The Blue Inox blades actually gave me a close, comfortable shave.

In this afternoon's mail:
1 4oz container of "Very V" shaving cream
1 3" cake of Shea-Butter Avocado-Oil shaving soap
1 3.3oz atomizer of "Very V" EDT
I also purchased three Gillette 3-piece razors on eBay this week, but will refrain from posting photos of them until they arrive and I've had a chance to clean-up any shmootz.
Yes, my RAD is under control: three Schick Injector SEs and four Gillette DEs. So is my SCAD/SSAD. But my gold-plated 1930s "New Gillette" Special really shines!

A local health store here has all kinds of MKF cremes on sale for $4.29. I need to resist temptation.

Today I was out scouting the CVS's in the eastern Twin Cities metro area and came back to Badgerland with quite a haul. I picked up the one and only red palmolive for $0.75 along with the last two bottles of Old Spice Pure Sport AS splash in the big 6.75 oz frosted glass bottles for $1.95 each! They also had 7 or 8 small tubes of Gillette SPF15 facial moisturizer for $1.65 each so I picked up 3 of those on a whim. My original plan was to get some Pinaud Clubman AS, but once I saw all these clearance items, I was on them like stink on :9898: .
To top it all off, I was standing in line to check out and the woman in front of me notices my Old Spice and tears out a manufacturer's coupon for a dollar off! Then when I finally got home, I was reviewing my reciept...he only charged me for one bottle. This was an honest mistake and, had I caught it at the store, I would have said something, but...yay me! :tongue_sm

1)100 Derby Extra Blades
2)What I believe to be a Fatboy, (or maybe a slim adjustable?)....either way, it was listed under Straight Razors and flew under the radar. (See pic below)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130085864639
This is all new to me. I will post some pics later. I started shaving with a DE sometime in February. I have only used a Fatboy and a gold Tech so far, but also picked up a black adjustable, a superspeed from the early 60's and an ugly copper/brass Tech. No idea why I feel the need to keep buying more razors, but I can't stop looking at auctions. I am looking at a Gillette "New" right now. I am hoping to avoid a severe case of RAD  .

4 bottles Men-U face wash
1 bottle Men-U shaving cream
3 bottles Men-U face moisturizer (ASB)
1 Bottle Men-U shower gel
2 boxes The Real Shaving Co. Cooling shave cream, moisturizing face wash, ASB and wash cloth ($15 for each box...a steal based on this mornings shave)
1 tube - The Real Shaving Co. "Hot Towel" preshave
1 Tube H20+ Marine Shave Cream (I think this is brushless)
1 Can - C&E Nomad shaving gel (I know, I know, canned goo, but I got this for 70 cents!!!, figured I could use it on days I'm in a rush.
Got all the Men-U at Ulta and all the rest at Marshalls locations in Dallas. All the "round" Men-U bottles are being clearanced at Ulta to make room for the new "square" bottles. So I picked up all the Men-U stuff for the price of about 2 bottles of face wash at the regular price. :thumbup1:
I tried the "cooling" TRS shaving cream this morning. More like cool as in cucumber, not cool as in menthol as expected. Faint scent, but to me it smells like a lighter scented version of Taylors Avocado. Not quite as moisturizing, but good overall. Maybe a summer version of TA for those of us in humid areas.
