Chatting with Charles at QED (http://www.QEDUSA.com), I was able to wring out a special from him.

This incredibly handsome and imminently practical shaving bag is actually styled after an early 20th century British army officer's tan crossboarded leather travel kit. When closed it measures a compact 10¼" x 6¼", opened it measures a roomy 10¼" x 16¾". Brass buckle & strap fastening, with various pockets and leather loops for storing. It can hang on the buckle, as all the pockets face downwards. Waterproof British racing-green nylon lining. An item every gentleman should own, even if he doesn't do a lot of traveling.

Handmade in England. Handsomely boxed. For the gentleman who truly appreciates authentic British style and genuine old-world craftsmanship. Makes a truly unique gift. $99.00

Charles has only 4 each of the brown crossboard, the black crossboard, and the crocodile skin-patterned leather wet packs. IN ADDITION, free shipping in the continental United States. This is a one-time special. I am certain the typical retail price for this item is around $150.00 ... :w00t:

Didja' ever see the movie, Peter Pan? Remember the crocodile? "Never Smile at a Crocodile!" The one that nibbled crusty old Hook's hand off? Kinda' looks like that, only shaped like the above, I bet.:lol1:

Here's the number at QED (http://www.qedusa.com): 401.433.4045
I'd suggest calling and finding out...

I probably shouldnt post this since we might have some game wardens on here but I caught a alligator once with some bacon and a noose and fully intended on skinning him and making something out of him but didnt have the heart....

Here is an image of the Alligator print. Bought it last year. FYI it's made by Daines and Hathaway, a fine English company. You might want to confirm color availability as you can see that the one Ron sent images of is obviously not black.

Steve:

How do you like it? Do you find it holds everything you need when you travel?

I'm not sure I can fit all my necessities in it.

Jerry

I really like the pack and found it adequate for weekend trips but I found that I really needed a bit more space for a trip to Paris lasting over 2 weeks. That said, you can really pack all that you need but if you are a slave to the pleasure of rotation, as I am, you'll have to discipline yourself to taking a non-rotation selection of stuff. I don't regret buying it for one minute. It's really a fine piece of luggage.

Here's a link to The Gentlemen's shop as they also sell the item. http://www.gentlemans-shop.com/acatalog/daines-military-wetpack.html#a398
$131 US plus shipping.

i know being a dopp kit type item it isnt often carried alone or out in view but am i alone in thinking it looks a bit like a purse when folded up? rolled out looks great though, guess that's what counts
