I'm sure a lot of you have already noticed, but we relaunched our website last weekend. It's entirely new, built on a fantastic shopping cart. Most importantly, I believe the shopping and checkout should be much simpler and straight forward. Additionally, there are a lot of new features like reviews, wish lists, gift registries, and much more. Very soon we will be opening up our affiliate program. If you're interested and want some early info, send me a PM or email. This site also meets new credit card security standards that aren't even in effect yet, so you know you're shopping securely. Check it out and let me know what you think.

WestCoastShaving.com (http://WestCoastShaving.com)

Also, within a couple days, we'll be offering in-store pickup as an option for customers in the area. The store front isn't ready yet, but everyone is welcome come to stop in to take a look at products or chat. If you want to come on by, let me know and I'll make sure someone is there. We'll be having an open house within the next month or so when we open the doors officially.

Keep an eye out over the next week. I will be adding over 40 new products with more on the way.

The site looks great, and I got my order extremely fast. I ordered a tube of Musgo Real and a couple of packs of Feather blades on Monday evening, used the least expensive shipping option (Under $4 with USPS!) shipped to Kansas, and it was in my mailbox on my lunchbreak today!:w00t::w00t:

Good website design, great contact with the customer, and awesome shipping options. Keep up the good work. :thumbup1:

This. Well the incremental increase isn't so bad. Just means I'll need to wait until I have a sizeable enough purchase (quantity in this case).

It's even worse for shipping to Australia. I've purchased once before, but I'm not likely to use it again, since the shipping is so much more than other sites. It's close to 50% of the items price. If the shipping would become more realistic I would use them again, since they have great products and service. But the mark up is too much.

I think it would help a great deal if you answered the phone.
Dropping customers off a dead-end cliff of voice mail and not calling them back is not the way to win long-term support.

If you're too big to answer the phone, then, well, you're too big. I'm your prime demographic--old, lazy and lots of disposable income. If you can't be bothered to answer my phone calls, I'll find somebody who will.

All the best.

Good job on the new site!

A few things that I miss from the old site (they may be available on the new site, I just can't find them):

* New Arrivals - sorting all the products by "date added" so I can see what you added recently and get ideas for new thing I might want to try

* Context sensitive filtering by brand. For example, if I look at the "Shaving Creams" I'd like to see only say TOBS creams. There is some filtering by Manufacturer but that shows all products by that manufacturer, I can no longer say "only shaving creams by manufacturer X"

No matter what I click on today in the Store it will not add to cart, what gives? Is it my connection or something?
Thanks,

Is there any other shipping options for Canada? The min is $20 no matter what you order and goes up when you purchase more items.

Yes, USPS International First Class has been added back. Instead of deleting it completely, I just removed the countries that we've had problems with. I think this is a good solution.

Sorry about that. The problem is we're too small. :blushing: Christine answers the phone during the day, but sometimes she can get a bit busy with the variety of daily chores when you run your own business, not to mention little kids running around. We always return calls as quickly as possible if she isn't quick enough to answer it at the time. Lisa and Dee will be trained to answer the phone soon, but they're still learning the products and don't feel comfortable doing so yet.

The big problem is Christine and I were traveling since last Thursday. We had planned on answering phone calls and emails while on vacation, but unfortunately the hotel's internet connection was out most of the time we were there. This was quite unexpected. We did not have any way of accessing the voicemails. Sincere apologies for this. I believe we're caught up on all phone calls and emails now. If you haven't received a call, please let me know.

Thanks for the great feedback. While the bulk of the changes were vast improvements, there are a few steps backwards here and there. The good news is that both of these will be solved shortly with some site work. They're on my to-do list.

Omega will be in this next week.
