How hot is too hot?

Hey Guys, just wanted your 2 cents.

I am going to be buying a scuttle in the near future and I was wondering if it was possible for the water going into the scuttle and the inner bowl to be too hot, possibly damaging the brush. Thanks!

I would think, if you can stand the heat without burning yourself, it's good.

Not sure how easy it is to damage the brush, but if your water/scuttle's too hot, your lather will break down.
