Today's shave (well I guess yesterday's, technically) sucked... bad. I tried out my new to me Gem with a drugstore SE blade. After 3 passes, I felt like I had lost most of the skin on my face, but the whiskers were still there, so I did one painful pass with my 40s SS w/ a Feather, and was done with it. The Thayer's burned, and the Clubman burned even worse. Oh well, I guess I have an excuse to order some decent SE blades :001_smile. The stuff did make a nice photo though...

The angle with a SE is very important, different than a DE. Maybe you should take a day off shaving and let the face heal.
