Greetings Everyone,

The Badger & Blade Decant Club is under way with this being a trial run.

I have four 33ml bottles w/ atomizers of Penhaligon's Castile available for $38 each including shipping.

Penhaligon describes this fragrance as:

Fresh and warm, soft with a hint of
sensuality, some even say aphrodisiac,
Castile brings together the appeal of
citrus and precious woods with the
haunting aroma of Neroli - intoxicating,
refreshing and evocative of warm Mediterranean nights.

Top notes: Neroli & Petit Grain
Middle notes: Bergamot, Orange Blossom & Rose
Base notes: Precious Woods & Musk

PM me if you are interested in purchasing one.

One 33ml bottle is available for immediate shipping. The others will ship once I have commitments for two of the remaining three.

I used the following steps to decant the cologne:

Removal of the factory atomizer is straight forward but patience is required. I began by removing the decorative collar using a small channel lock wrench.

The atomizer is custom formed to the bottle. After removing the nozzle of the atomizer, I used a utility razor with a new blade to cut slits into the base of the atomizer segmenting it, making for easy removal with the aforementioned wrench.

I opted to use an eye dropper to transfer the product reducing loss of product due to evaporation.

The first 100ml bottle is decanted. I will hold off decanting the second until all portions are spoken for. Currently I have one 33ml bottle available for purchase.

oh, i was confused for a second.....you bought two bottles, sold two portions, have one left to sell and one bottle with three portions.

i am totally into this idea, but not sure if I'd like the scent....i know you have a description, but would you describe it as manly, flowery, fruity, girly, strong, etc.... it says it is woody and citrusy, but how much of each?

edit: i am tentative, i'll answer for sure after I get another opinion of the scent.

Here is the review by basenotes.

I use the Castile shave cream in my rotation but I can't tell you what difference you'll discover with the EDT.

I edited the description to hopefully eliminate future confusion. A more detailed description will need to come from one of our fragrance aficionados.

I really want to like it but right now I don't know if I'd like an orange/rose scent. if it was a cheaper cologne i'd do it, or if i had more cash, but i'm broke at the moment. it is nowhere near a bad deal i'm just low on funds.

Not to worry. As we gain experience in this venture the optimal cost should become evident. I highly recommend joining the fragrance train Scotto's proposing to help educate your sniffer.

Cool! Castile is a great scent, but I am all set for Neroli-derived fragrances. I am sure you'll find takers for the rest.

I don't have anything to add but i'd love to receive the package to smell the scents. i'll add that into the thread.

Just received my 33ml decant of Penhaligon's Castile from Rik. Great service Rik; we just set it up last week!

I did imagine the Castile to smell quite different, however. The reviews on Basenotes made me think it was quite a fresh citrus/neroli smell. This smelled too "powdery" for me.

Makes me think the B&B Fragrance Train is a better way to go.

I might put this one up for trade on the site soon if my son isn't interested
