So we are house sitting for some friends of ours. My young son goes off into the sun room behind a bar that isn't really used as one. I go back to get him out, and lo and behold, a lovely The Balvenie 21 year Port Wood was collecting about an inch of dust. I had to remedy that and poured myself a dram. It was lovely.

Tonight.

A nice 98 rated 15 year ruby port. After my home made grilled New York steak with balsamic reduction, and Cajun shrimp Alfredo.

Tonight, a wonderful salad. Fresh on the vine tomatoes, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, olives and red onion with a sprinkling of toasted almonds and feta cheese.

A REO robusto. This cigar is a joint venture between Rocky Patel and United Tobacco. If you like the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 and 1992 then you should like this cigar.

Those bright green olives - what type are they? I've had them before and find them amazingly tasty.

A lovely fillet of blackened salmon, cooked to medium, and served over a bed of Maque Choux, a saute of corn with onions and green peppers in butter and olive oil with a touch of cream, S&P and sugar. Accompanied by a shrimp cocktail and a glass of cabernet.

Yum.
